Day 1: Immediately after the procedure, your technician will apply a thin layer of Vitamin A&D ointment. Thereafter, wipe the area every 45min/1hr with a damp cotton round using cooled, boiled (or distilled) water. Apply A&D cream again before bed using a finger wrapped in cling film or an earbud to avoid contaminating the cream or the brow strokes. Apply using a dabbing motion, do not rub.

 

-Day 2- 14: For the next 2 weeks, apply a thin layer of A&D cream every morning and evening with cling film or an earbud. Be very mindful not to pick, touch or rub at the scabs that form as they are extremely fine. Looking after them results in the best retention of “crispness” of the stroke. During this stage it is normal for the brows to peel, flake, fade, scab and itch. The scabs will shed naturally.

 

-Keep your brows dry while they heal. Avoid any activities that cause sweating or moisture on the face. eg. gym, sauna or swimming, suntanning.

 

-Clean your face with wet wipes or a face cloth, avoiding the brow area.

 

-Wash hair over a sink with assistance, visit your salon or use dry shampoo until all scabs have healed to avoid getting them wet.

 

-If you have to dry your brow area due to unforeseen moisture getting to the area, dab softly. Do not rub as the scabs are very fine and can be pulled off.

 

-No chemical peels , dermaneedling, botox etc. for at least 28 days following the procedure and ask your facial technician to avoid the brow area.

 

- Brows look amazing immediately following procedure. The pigment will gradually darken through the day. Over the next few days, brows will appear darker.  During the first 2 weeks, brows will begin to scab and flake as they heal. The brows will fade as they heal and may look very light. After 4-6 weeks, the pigment will resurface and the true colour of the brow will be revealed. Your touch up is then important to make sure any faded lines can be reinforced.
